Fun fact about me: Sometime back in my Jack Kerouac-ish, wanderlusty youth, I lived in Northwestern Brazil. It was hot as balls. I could not blow dry my hair because my head sweat outpaced the dryer. I didn’t wear make up because it slid right off my face. And I swear I never saw one person wearing socks. You would think that with all this blazing, unmoving jungle heat, my bed would not look like this.

But it did.
My host family said I was only person in the rain forest who slept with blankets. Now we know why.

Wow!! I would love to go to Brazil and I still plan to some day. I’m so jealous!! My international adventure was Thailand for several months, which was also…. um…. well, quite hot and humid.
Thailand! Wow! That’s not a shabby international adventure. I think I could love that adventure. And with that, I must eat Panang curry asap.
And yes, Brazil was marvelous. Actually, Brazilians were marvelous. Talk about tolerance! It may have been the isolated little town I was in, but I was blown away by their ability to accept people as they are.

Ha! I do & I’ve definitely had my fair share of freaking out until 2. LOL. I think the reason I’m not freaking out about this is because my brain is chock full of other freak outs right now!
Neato! My kiddo and I both have Asperger’s. Weighted stuff is fantastic! Would love to win one of the Cozy Calm’s blankets (any color, any weight, any size would help us greatly but I think a couch length relaxation blanket, in turquoise ice and orange sherbet (or orange and happy pink… or… any combination!) and weighing in at 14lbs would just sooth these ragged nerves (I also have RA and plenty of pain, so soothing is a good thing)…. Keep up the fantastic blogging! Your writing is so insightful and makes me smile and feel like I’m still me-quirks and all- but I know where to find my tribe for some moral support and laughter. Thanks for that!
